Do You Qualify For The Digital Nomad Visa In Spain?

It’s official, the online application process for the Digital Nomad Visa in Spain is open. Now the question is, do you qualify?

We’ve had floods of requests asking if they are in fact eligible for the Digital Nomad Visa and so we thought it would be helpful to share a quick checklist of what the Spanish authorities are asking for:

• Are you over 18 years old?

• Do you have a valid passport or travel document?

• Do you have a clear criminal record?

• Is your company registered with the social security system in your home country or in Spain? In the case of not being registered with Social Security in Spain, do you or can you take out private health insurance? (Please note that travel insurance is not accepted).

• Can you demonstrate that you have the minimum requirement stipulated of €24,000 in a bank account or by pay slips?

• Can you provide a contract or statement from your employer stating that the work can and will be carried out digitally and remotely?

• Are your qualifications or work experience related to the job position?

• Have you been working with the company for at least three months?

• Has the employer has been in continuous activity for at least one year?
