Valencia’s 10 Most Iconic Tapas Bars
The spring weather is back and Covid restrictions have been eased once again with restaurants now open until 10pm and so I wanted to share with you our inside secrets on the most authentic and tasty really really Valencian tapas spots for you to enjoy and have a good old picar (nibble)!
Here they are in Alphabetical Order:
1. Aquarium
Quaint and completely fuss-free, everything on the menu is simple but just so tasty. The waiters are the best waiters in Valencia and many would argue that they serve the best Dry Martini in the city. Trust me, you won’t see many tourists here. They have also recently expanded and spilled their outdoor terrace onto the Gran Via park lined with palm trees.

7. Kiosko La Pergola
I don’t think it gets more Valencian than this, so much so that they close during the whole month of August. Have “almuerzo” (brunch) with a “cerveza” (beer) around the bar or order a “bocadillo” (sandwhich). I highly recommend the Super BonBon, a messy heaven of sliced pork, garlic and parsley mushrooms with melted cheese.
The place is famous amongst Valencians and reservations aren’t accepted, either get there early or expect to wait a bit.
