Fancy Italian?

If you’re looking for an alternative to tapas and paella, there are some really great Italian restaurants here in Valencia. Here are my top three:

L’Alquimista

Fresh pasta doesn’t get much better than this and you can really taste the fresh flavors of all the ingredients in each dish. The restaurant itself is authentic, super cosy and there’s always a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for what you get and staff are also great at presenting the dishes and recommending wines.

Improntas Restaurante

This corner restaurant just opposite Russafa market doesn’t look like much but don’t let this fool you. Improntas specializes in Sardinian food and I could not recommend a place more, everything on the menu is simply delicious. The fresh seafood pasta served for two in a large skillet is to die for. The staff are really friendly and the owners themselves are passionate about food and wine which definitely rubs off on the menu and the food served.

Lambrusqueria - Conde Altea

Charming and with a nice dimly lit atmosphere, Lambrusqueria is definitely a Valencian go-to. The staff are always helpful, the food is delicious and it’s inexpensive for what you get. They have also expanded the terrace area to accommodate more guests eating outside during the pandemic.
