Valencia’s Top Five Brunch Spots

If you’re an expat in Valencia looking for a new brunch spot and a taste of home, look no further. Here’s a roundup of our favorite five, tried and tested brunch spots:

1.     Bastard Coffee & Kitchen

Bastard Coffee & Kitchen is definitely worth a visit, with cosy vibes and insanely good food, we’re sure you’ll end up going back for more.

The brunch menu is available from Monday to Sunday between 9am and 6pm. We went for the Eggs Benedict with avocado & rosemary fries (not to be missed!), along with a chai latte and Nutella cheesecake.

What’s more, Bastard Coffee & Kitchen gives you great value for money, a main dish, hot drink, orange juice and a dessert will cost you just €12.50.

2.     Eggcellent

At Eggcellent, the name pretty much speaks for itself with delicious food at really great value and eggcellent customer service ;)

There’s a wide selection of American pancakes, tostadas and for those of you with a sweet tooth, the cheesecake brownie is to die for. We ordered the Eggs Benedict with hash browns and truffle mushrooms and a chai latte to wash it down and wow it was delicious.

Eggcellent is a small spot so be sure to get there early to grab a table but if you do end up having to wait, we promise you it’s worth it.

3.     Brunch Corner - La Virgen

Brunch Corner has two locations, we visited La Virgen spot and really enjoyed it. Brunch Corner offers a delicious array of brunch options including a Belgian waffle Benedict, a meatball sub and even a really good English breakfast for those expats out there craving a fry up.

If you’re in the mood for something lighter, Brunch Corner also has a selection of bagels, toasts and easy breakfast classics such as croissants and cereals.

We opted for the breakfast burrito with a side of pancakes, all of which were absolutely divine!

4.     La petite Brioche

La Petite Brioche is a charming Parisienne inspired bakery and café that makes the most mouth watering homemade cakes, quiches, pancakes and brunch dishes on a lovely and sunny corner close to Colon Market.

We ordered the Nutella and Banana crêpe and the vegan pancakes and left with very happy tummies!

5.     Bluebell Coffee

Bluebell Coffee is a quaint little brunch spot in the heart of Russafa which also has a nice and sunny outdoor terrace at the back. It’s the perfect place to work from for those remote workers looking for a change of scenery and for quiet one-to-one business meetings.

Bluebell not only roast their own coffee but also have freshly squeezed juices and a small but delicious offering of homemade cakes and make exceptional brunch dishes. Bluebell’s pulled pork waffles and pancakes are high on our list of favorite brunch dishes here in Valencia.
